FluentCart Connector
Install and configure the Checkout Security FluentCart adapter for FluentCart 1.8.0+.
FluentCart connector
The FluentCart connector, checkout-security-fluentcart-adapter, integrates Checkout Security with FluentCart and protects FluentCart checkout flows with the same multi-factor fraud engine used across all supported platforms.
Requirements
Install and activate the following before enabling the connector:
- Checkout Security Core 3.0.0 or later
- FluentCart 1.8.0 or later
- PHP 7.4 or later
The connector also requires the FLUENTCART_VERSION constant to be defined. FluentCart provides this constant when it is active.
Installation
Install and activate FluentCart
Install FluentCart 1.8.0 or later and activate it from Plugins in WordPress. Confirm that FluentCart is active before installing the Checkout Security plugins.
Install the Checkout Security core
From the WordPress admin area, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Upload the checkout-security plugin ZIP, install it, and leave it ready for activation.
Install the FluentCart connector
Upload and install the checkout-security-fluentcart-adapter plugin ZIP from the same Add New → Upload Plugin screen.
Activate both plugins
Activate the Checkout Security core and the FluentCart connector. The connector registers FluentCart with the core during WordPress plugin initialization.
Verify the adapter health
Open the Checkout Security dashboard and check the adapter health status. FluentCart should appear as connected.
If FluentCart does not appear as connected, confirm that FluentCart is active, the core is activated, and the installed versions meet the requirements above.
What the adapter does
The adapter connects Checkout Security to FluentCart's cart, checkout, and order flows through the platform adapter interface. It enables fraud detection during checkout, risk evaluation when an order is created, and trust score tracking for FluentCart customers.
The connector loads the FluentCart cart, checkout, order, session, and platform adapter classes. When you deactivate the connector, it unregisters the fluentcart platform from the Checkout Security core.
The connector's FluentCart API usage was verified against FluentCart 1.8.0.
FluentCart currently uses the legacy fraud detection path. Fraud scoring and risk evaluation work, but progressive response actions (such as CAPTCHA challenges and graduated enforcement) are verified for WooCommerce only at this time. CAPTCHA is not available for FluentCart checkout flows.
Multiple adapters
Install multiple connector plugins when your WordPress site runs more than one supported e-commerce platform. Checkout Security supports partial protection per platform, so each connected platform receives fraud protection independently.
For example, if your site uses both WooCommerce and FluentCart, install the WooCommerce connector and the FluentCart connector alongside the core plugin. Checkout Security then protects checkout flows on both platforms.
